Laser Irradiatrion adapter KOLINA blue for UV-free phototherapy in the treatment of atopic dermatitis, Psoriasis, Vitiligo and acne vulgaris. As particular feature, KOLINA blue can be individually configurated with LASER NEEDLES, so that monochromatic, bichromatic or trichromatic irradiation of different intensities and wavelenght (red, blue, infrared) can be realized easily. Orthopedic and physiotherapeutic indications

Besides the pain release, the regenerative effects of the laserneedle irradiation in bone and cartilage tissue are here of particular importance. Osteonecrotic bone areas are regenerated to a great extent by direct laser needle irradiation (Morbus Ahlbäck, Morgus Osgood Schlatter).8 The laser needle irradiation enhances significantly the metabolism of osteoblast cells, without influencing the osteclast cell activity. 6 As the result, the bone production-reduction equilibrium is shifted to the bone tissue producing side and an increased mineralisation is induced. Cartilage tissue is stabilised (Fibrinogen, Collagen), and the synthesis of hyaluron acid and proteoglycanes is increased.

The application principle is very simple:

  • The laserneedles are arranged along the affected articular gap or the osteonecrotic area.
  • The optimum treatment time is of about 30 min, the treatments must be repeated 15-20 times, with 2-3 treatments per week.
  • Excellent results will be achieved in the treatment of tendinitis. This opens new possibilities to reduce the medication, to reduce the side effects and to prevent surgical interventions.
  • Usually 5–20 treatments are necessary to induce long-standing regenerative effects.



Acupuncture

Needles are important for each kind of acupuncture. We have developed new laser needles, which show improved stimulation efficiacy at the acupoints. Due to their double efficiacy, the laser needles reach therapeutic effects, which are superior to the classic metal needle acupuncture. The laserneedle touch devices contain a data bank with all therapeutic and diagnostic frequencies according to Nogier, Bahr, Reininger. The new laserneedle touch device contains the “frequency mixing mode”, developed in cooperation with Dr.Reininger: Each laserneedle can be programmed with a different frequency. For a quick and efficient pulse diagnostics, a new “diagnostic mode” is available and can be activated.

Pain therapy

In this case, the laser needles are fixed on the painful area and activated in the low-frequency modulation mode. ( 2Hz-100 Hz) In addition to the analgetic effects of the well-known TENS (electrical nerve stimulation), the laser radiation induces an increase of the cell energy in the target tissue by increased ATP synthesis, an increase of the oxygen-metabolism and an increase of the capillary blood flow.

Woundhealing disorders

The advantages of red/infrared laser irradiation treatments for wound healing disorders, in particular therapy resistant diabetic ulcus cruris, are well described and documented in the literature.

Our new therapeutic approach combines the additive effects of red and blue laser light and contains three components:

  • Laserneedle irradiation of the surrounding area with four red LASER NEEDLES to increase the arterial, venous and lymphatic circulation in the area around the ulcus.
  • direct, bichromatic irradiation of the ulcus with the KOLINA Spot, equipped with 3 red LASER NEEDLES and 1 blue laserneedle, to eliminate any staphylococcus contamination in the wound and to enhance the metabolism of fibroblast cells

Skin diseases

Our new laser needle phototerapy is based on the recent results of the modern dermatological reserch. The basic principle of our therapy is to irradiate the affected skin areas simultaneously with blue and red laserneedle radiation of high energy density.10 The effects of the red laser radiation in the skin well known, the cell energy (ATP synthesis), the microciculation of blood and lymph and the oxygen metabolism are improved during the non-specific irradiation of the skin tissue. Therefore, the red laser light improves in general the regeneration capability of the skin tissue.

The blue laserneedle radiation (405 nm) however, effects specifically. At sufficient energy densities, immunological and anti- bacteriological effects are induced. The immunological effects are the inhibition and reduction of Langerhans cells and IgE+Langerhans cells, the inhibition of dermal mast cells and the inhibition and reduction of T-Lymphocytes. The activity and number of T-lymphocytes, which are infiltrated in the skin is influenced and decreased directly by the 405 nm radiation. A decrease of bcl-2 proteines after radiation, which acts as apoptosis inhibitor, was reported in the literature.

From the bacteriological point of view, the 405 nm irradiation has an highly efficient eliminating effect on porphyrines- based bacteria, like Proprionibakterium acne, Staphylococcus aureaus, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Due to their specific immunological and anti-bacteriological effects, the 405 nm laserneedle radiation is the optimum choice to treat the atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, vitiligo and acne vulgaris. The immunological and bacteriological pathogenesis of these indications is quite similar.

In contrast to the established UVA1 phototherapy, the treatment with 405 nm laserneedle irradiation is complete UV- free ,e.g. all possible carcinogenic risks are eliminated ! In particular for the treatment of children, the 405 nm radiation is safe, side-effect free and free of any risks, even for longer treatment times!

Acute and chronic Tinnitus - the laserneedle-music therapy

The new tinnitus therapy was developed in clinical studies in collaboration with Univ. of Heidelberg (Germany), Graz and Innsbruck (Austria). It combines three aspects:
